Christopher Glasscock
This is my 30th year in education, my 20th year at Rice and my 15th year as the principal. I am proud to be the principal of the middle school with the best community, staff, and students around! Rice Middle School is truly an awesome place to be each day and I am honored to be a part of the successes we continue to achieve year in and year out.
I have lived in Plano, TX since 1991 when I moved here from Ft. Collins, CO. I attended Collin County Community College for two years and then attended the University of North Texas where I graduated in May of 1996. During the last semester at UNT, I student taught in 2nd and 5th grade at Brinker Elementary and was hired to teach 4th grade the following school year. I started teaching at Brinker during the fall of 1996.
After teaching two years in 4th grade at Brinker, I decided that I wanted to teach students who were a bit older. I was hired as a 6th grade math teacher at Frankford Middle School when it opened and taught in that position for 3 years. During this time, I was also taking graduate classes at UNT where I graduated with my Master of Education in December, 2000. I was fortunate to be hired as the Administrative Intern at Frankford and held that position for 2 years prior to moving to the Assistant Principal role. I was the Assistant Principal for three years at which time I transferred to Rice and held the same position for 5 years before becoming principal. I have enjoyed being a part of Rice Middle School and the many great things we have accomplished.
