Non-Curricular
All Non-Curricular Clubs are required to organize annually.
Non-Curricular Clubs are student-initiated and driven. These clubs start over each year due to they are driven by the interest of our current student body.
If you are interested in forming a non-curricular club, please follow the process below.
- Secure a Rice MS teacher to serve as the sponsor.
- With the assistance of the sponsor, complete the Online Club Request Form. Ensure that all email addresses, especially the teacher/sponsor to prevent any delays in the process.
- Once the student submits the online request, the sponsor will complete their portion in myforms.
- The application will progress through the approval process and the teacher/sponsor will be notified once complete.
**Clubs for each new school year cannot begin forming until the first day of school!**

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
FCA is opened to all 6-8th graders interested to come learn about God. Members will discuss devotionals, play games, and build a Christ-centered community.
Meeting time: 7:40 am to 8:14 am
Location: Raven Garden (outside the cafeteria)

NAQT Quiz Bowl Club
NAQT is a competitive academic team where students work together to answer questions on a wide range of topics, including science, history, literature, math, fine arts, current events, and pop culture. Using the National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT) format, members practice quick recall, teamwork, and critical thinking while preparing for competitions against other schools. The club is open to students of all backgrounds who enjoy learning, problem-solving, and testing their knowledge in a fun, team-based setting.

Red Cross
Club description: A club that serves the community by participating in activities aligned with the American Red Cross's mission. Club members develop leadership skills, engage in service projects like disaster preparedness, receive training in first aid and CPR.
Meeting Time: Mondays 3:45-4:20

Rice Book Club
Club description: Do you have a love for reading? Are you absorbed by colorful characters and creative plot lines?? Join the Rice Middle School Book Club and come read with us! All grades are welcome. Make new friends, talk about interesting books, and have fun exploring the next plot twist together. Book Club will meet every other Tuesday. Fall meeting dates are: 9/23, 10/7, 10/21, 11/18, 12/2, 12/15 . We hope to see you there!

Club description: Meet to play tennis.
